This post is kind of fashion based but not the usual. I'm recently in the middle of finishing my second year of college and have literally just finished my textiles A2 exam. We had 15 hours to create anything we wanted, I tend to stick to making dresses as it's what I'm good at. They aren't necessarily something you'd wear as they are more based around textile techniques, which is what we get marked on. Anyway my project was based on surface and textures-looking at rust, fungi, mould and things like that. I first made the skirt of my dress using plastic and trapping materials/wool/yarn in between, I then melted and created a underskirt the same but the plastic was brown coloured. I added wadding to the waist of the skirt so the skirt would puff out slightly.
