Victoria Secret's show 2014

Literally all everyone's talking about lately is the latest Victoria Secrets show. The show included six sections and almost each one had a special guest. First we seen the Gilded Angels which the models wore gold wings, crystal-studded corsets and other over the top touches. Next we seen the section Dream Girl which featured Taylor Swift, who sang Blank Space. All you need to think in this section is pink. I'm not really a fan of Swifty herself but she looked amazing in this pink and black night gown and floor length wrap.

The middle part of the show was called Exotic Traveller, this section created a theme of cultures colliding through the use of vibrant colours, unique textures and sparkling jewels. Ed Sheeran was the featured singer for this section and performed Thinking out loud. Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrossio were the two chosen ladies to wear the fantasy bra's, worth $2 million each, this was because they have worked with Victoria Secrets since they were just you adults and the company wanted to give something back to them, so they made sure Alessandra and Adriana could have this moment together. They look amazing.
The next section University of Pink, brought back the angel wings but with animal prints, colourful patterns and puffer parkas. This section was so edgy and with the performance medley from Ariana Grande you just could not love the modern vibe any more. The best part of this piece, unfortunately, wass Ariana almost getting hit in the face by the angel wings Elsa Holk wore. This is the picture everyone's been talking about.
The penultimate catwalk was called Fairy Tale. It was so romantic with the earthy tones of the costumes and the glistening gossamer wings. Hozier performed Take me to the church which just set the earthy scene even more. I thought this was a stand out section because of the contrast between the softness of the garments but also the rawness of the music. Some of the pieces looked so delicate and this feathered piece is just stunning, wow.
And finally, the finale was called Angel Ball. The theme was to take seductive glamour centre stage at an opulent black and white ball. The catwalk was finished off with more elaborate wings, dark bodices, delicate beading and strappy details. This finale theme definitely gave me a sense of strong, independent women. I mean first just look at those models they look fabulous but the elegance of the pieces just makes them look even more powerful. Its amazing what a catwalk can do to garments, to me it gives them a physical emotion. I just love the sense of pride the model has in this image through her stance.
I'm all glamoured out now.
Thankyou for reading and I would be happy to receive any advice or comments for future posts.
